Happy Easter. We spent the most important day of the year with good friends.
We enjoyed good food and good music.
We had a glorious time.
Now let’s share some pictures that are unfortunately unflattering.
Before we go there, first what do you think of when you think of French stereotypes? Chances are you imagine black and white stripes, red scarves and berets, along with baguettes, good coffee and rude waiters. Not sure what I mean? Here’s a great 6 minute movie called Cliché. Attention! Most of this short film is tasteful, but there are a few humorous parts that are supposed to be suggestive. Or perhaps there are a few suggestive parts that are supposed to be humorous. Depends on who you ask. Either way, you’ve been warned- advance with caution.
That little French primer started with my favorite French stereotype: the striped shirt. And today, Laila got to play with two little French boys. Notice what they’re wearing.
What? Something wrong? Oh… right. My own half-nude cherub. Let’s just say she decided to take on another French stereotype herself. :-) Or perhaps it’s just that we let her “help mommy dress/undress the baby.” Big mistake. Huge.
